Jan Pie

Jan Pie has been Secretary General of the Aerospace, Security, and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD) since September 2013. In this role, he represents over 3,000 companies from 18 European countries, collectively generating more than €220 billion in annual turnover and supporting over 840,000 highly skilled jobs. His work focuses on promoting the competitive development of the sector and addressing transnational issues on European and global levels.

He also serves as a board member of the International Coordinating Council of Aerospace Industries Associations (ICCAIA), fostering global collaboration with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Since 2016, he has been a delegate to the Consultative Commission on Industrial Change (CCMI) of the European Economic and Social Committee, emphasizing strategies for managing industrial change across economic, social, and environmental dimensions.

Before joining ASD, Mr. Pie was Secretary General of the Swedish Security and Defence Industry Association and held senior roles at SOS Alarm, focusing on emergency preparedness and crisis management.
