Arnout de Jong

Mr De Jong studied Aerospace Engineering at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands (1991-1997) and worked as Chief Designer for an airship company (Rigid Airship Design) from 1997-2001. He worked for Flycam on the autopilot system of a small, unmanned helicopter from 2002-2004 and continued this activity via the sole proprietorship Delft Dynamics from 2004 onwards. In February 2006 he co-founded Delft Dynamics B.V. and became the CEO of this company. Delft Dynamics, a high-tech SME, focused on innovative development projects in the field of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS / drones) and Counter UAS. One of the developments is the DroneCatcher system, a drone which can catch other drones by shooting a net. He became a member or the NIDV board in 2020. This foundation, The Netherlands Industries for Defence and Security (NIDV), links companies, knowledge institutions, and the government within the Netherlands. Since 2021 Delft Dynamics is involved in several European Defence Fund projects like JEY-CUAS, DeterMine and E-CUAS.
